Who we are
Our website address is: https://softwarepair.wasmer.app.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and how it’s used.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the details you enter in the comment form. We also gather your IP address and browser information to help filter out spam.
If you use the Gravatar service, an anonymized version of your email address may be sent to them to check whether you have a Gravatar profile. You can read their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Once your comment is approved, your profile picture—if you have one on Gravatar—will appear publicly next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, please avoid including photos that contain location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors may be able to download the images and view that information.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies so you don’t have to re-enter them in the future. These cookies last for one year.
When you visit the login page, we’ll place a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It doesn’t store personal data and is removed when you close your browser.
When you log in, we’ll set cookies that store your login details and your chosen display settings. Login cookies last for two days, and display-settings cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login stays active for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, your browser will store a cookie noting the post ID of the article you worked on. It doesn’t contain personal data and expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include content from other websites—such as videos, images, or articles.
Embedded content behaves the same way it would if you visited the other website directly. That means the external site may collect data about you, use cookies, include third-party tracking, and monitor how you interact with their content, especially if you are logged in to their site.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the password reset email.
How long we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its related information are kept indefinitely. This helps us recognize and approve follow-up comments more quickly.
If you create an account on the site (if registration is available), we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your information at any time—except for your username. Site administrators can also see and update that information if needed.
Your data rights
If you have an account on the site or have left comments, you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete your personal data. This excludes information we must keep for legal, security, or administrative reasons.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.
